Hi, we are the Casanova Family - left to right - Muse, Chauntelle (aka CJ) , Michael, and Logan

<------Before

In 2003, we bought the duplex with another couple. In 2006, we bought out our partners' interest in the property and became the proud owners of a true "fixer upper". Aside from the exterior siding and windows, the property has undergone a complete make over from roof to fencing. Below are some pictures of the more significant work completed. Truly this home has been a labor of love. Our blood, sweat and tears have been poured into the property.

<-----After

Luckily we found the world's Greatest Property Manager, MARIA ESTRADA. She scheduled everything from cleaning to fence work. She had the hook up for linoleum guys to cement guys. This project would not happened without her.                            THANK YOU MARIA!

On Unit 2 we started with a completely gutted bathroom

Starting the fence that surrounds the perimeter of the property. This was vital to make it child safe and pet friendly.

Both walkways were completely redone

The front gate for Unit 1 is completed

The fence in progress, but getting closer to completion!

Preparing for new bamboo flooring

New bamboo flooring going in

Painting all interiors

Although incredibly authentic, the 1970's linoleum had to go!

Unit 2 has a new yard

The yard has proved to be quite fertile.

We have enjoyed sunflowers aplenty.

We were able to grow a cornfield

And even a pumpkin patch

In this corner, thriving is a combination of roses, lavender, lamb's ear, sage and aloe vera plants. These were planted in loving memory of a dear friend, Laurie Rajski, who passed away very unexpectedly in 2005.

We love being in Santa Cruz - the air, the culture, the town, the many many things to do. As soon as we arrive and smell the ocean air mixing with the redwoods - we feel at home. When we can't be in Santa Cruz, it makes us feel good to know the homes are being used and enjoyed by others. We strive to make your stay as pleasant as possible. If you find anything lacking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can address it right away.
